University of Hawaii LLM Program Commencement 2015

The University of Hawaii's LLM Program students celebrate at their Commencement Ceremony of the William S. Richardson School of Law. The University of Hawaii offers a Master of Laws (LLM) degree as well as a two-year Advanced JD Program to international students. Last fall, students from Argentina, Finland, Germany, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan enjoyed a two-day Legal-Ease workshop on legal English as part of their law school orientation. Taught by Ms. Dena Falken, Esq., the workshop really helped the students to learn legal vocabulary and terms that were commonly used during their study at the Law School. It was the perfect introduction to the study of law and gave the students a lot of confidence to meet the challenges of studying law in the U.S. In fact, Ms. Jeneline Nicolas, an LLM graduate from the Philippines, was selected to give the commencement speech to represent the LLM Program.

  1. I am from Philippines and I was looking for something just like this one. Studying the law in U.S has its own challenges, but the workshops like this can really help in a great way. I really look forward to join any such program as I wish to study law from U.S.
