University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law LL.M. Program

Pacific McGeorge offers graduate programs for both domestically trained attorneys and foreign trained attorneys. Whether you seek an advanced legal program focusing on U.S. Law, Transnational Business or Water Resources, Pacific McGeorge is the right place for you.

The Water Resources Law LL.M. and J.S.D. programs emphasize interdisciplinary natural resources classes, simulations and case studies, a robust field placement experience, and advanced substantive law course work. Choose from two tracks: U.S. Law or International.

The LL.M. in Transnational Business Practice trains lawyers, whether they are educated in civil law or common law jurisdiction, to practice in the field of international business law, preparing them for a career in the global economy.  Choose from two tracks: With internship or Without.

The U.S. Law & Policy LL.M. program is designed specifically for lawyers or graduates with a law degree granted from schools in their home country who seek to learn the foundations of the United States law.

Pacific McGeorge’s International Law Program was ranked No. 17 and No. 19 in the country by the 2012 and 2013 U.S. News & World Report. Other than international law, public law, and advocacy, students can take advantage of several programs to help give their law school experience a more global flavor. Along with exchange programs, we have developed relationships with many institutions to help our students gain international perspective and insight. Each year, Pacific McGeorge School of Law, offers innovative summer programs in Austria, Guatemala and Africa.

As a Pacific McGeorge graduate student in beautiful Sacramento, California, you will join an international community comprised of students from all over the world. Practicing legal skills doesn’t always happen in classroom or during an internship. Student organizations play an integral role in the campus environment and educational process for law students at Pacific McGeorge and through them students have access to additional social and academic opportunities. The Sacramento community is diverse and you will have no problem finding several fun and educational extracurricular activities to do in between classes and studying.

Ohio State University LL.M. Program

You may know that The Ohio State University is one of the largest research universities in the United States—with more than 55,000 students—but you may not realize that our LL.M. program is quite small.  We purposely limit enrollment to 35 students each year.  This enables you to receive a high level of personal attention from program staff, yet still enjoy the wide variety of academic, art, culture, sport and recreation activities offered on campus.

The top-ranked Moritz College of Law offers LL.M. students a learning environment that is second to none. We proudly bring together students, faculty and staff from all backgrounds to work and learn together.  As a result, our students are uniquely ready and able to address a wide spectrum of issues facing our diverse world.  Our professors are accessible and approachable, and foster an atmosphere of respect and collegiality.   The Moritz community is truly a family of scholars.

We are thrilled to make a special announcement.  We have added four NEW scholarships this year:

·          Scholarship for the Americas
·          Scholarship for Africa
·          Scholarship for Europe
·          Scholarship for Southeast Asia

These are a great addition to our current awards—the Moritz LL.M. Scholarship and the Jones Day Scholarship.  We also continue to offer significant tuition discounts to COLFUTURO, Fulbright and Muskie awardees.  You can learn more at our scholarship page .
