Florida Coastal School of Law’s LL.M. Masters of U.S. Law program

Thank you for your continuing interest in Florida Coastal School of Law’s LL.M. Masters of U.S. Law program. Florida Coastal is the first U.S. law school to offer the Masters of U.S. Law degree fully online, and the program has been approved for delivery by the American Bar Association. The LL.M. program is now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 academic year, which begins September 12.

Coastal LL.M. offers a high quality U.S. legal education at a lower cost and at greater convenience to students than traditional, residential LL.M. programs. Many foreign law graduates are not in a position to leave their jobs and families for a year or more to come to the United States to obtain a degree, and the costs of relocating to the United States are significant. Graduates of the LL.M. program can qualify academically to sit for the bar examination in several states, including California.

Coastal’s LL.M. program allows students to take classes from anywhere at any time with just a laptop and a broadband Internet connection. Students can log in to live classes and interact directly with distinguished law professors, and all lectures are taped so that students who are unable to join live classes can participate by viewing lectures at any time. Out of class, students can interact with the professor through online discussion boards and via email.
At $575 per credit hour, Coastal LL.M.’s tuition is a fraction of the cost of residential LL.M. programs in the U.S. Students can make payment in four installments of approximately $3700.

Coastal LL.M.’s combination of high quality U.S. legal education, the convenience of online delivery, and affordable tuition presents a unique opportunity to foreign trained lawyers seeking to advance their career with knowledge of the U.S. legal system. Please contact the Director, Aron Mujumdar, if you would like more information about the program or if you would like to see a demonstration of our interactive, online classroom.

  1. Its a really wonderful Blog which provides useful information. For example, if you are involved in a murder, do not hire a lawyer who has only handled grave misconduct or drunk-driving cases.
