Legal-Ease Seminar at University of Arizona Law School
Students from China, India, Mexico, Estonia, Tajiksatan,and Jordan participated in the Legal English seminar by Legal-Ease International Inc. in Arizona. The LLM candidates were great students and brought a unique perspective to the seminar! We look forward to keeping in touch with them as they begin their law practice back home.
The Law School is state of the art and a perfect place for LLM students!

LL.M. Alumnus, Samuel Chacón, Publishes Articles
LL.M. alumnus, Samuel Chacón from Mexico, has recently published two articles in the North American Free Trade and Investment Report, a biweekly report on legal and financial issues affecting direct investment and cross border trade in Mexico, the U.S., and Canada.

The first article, entitled “The New Mexican Registry of Movable Guaranties,” was published in the November 15th issue. The second article, entitled, “Acceptance in Mexico of U.S. and Canadian Health Registrations,” was included in the November 30th issue. These articles were also published in the April 2011 edition of the International Law newsletter of the North Carolina Bar Association.
Chacón earned an LL.M. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005. Chacón is an Associate at Chacón & Rodriguez, focuses on corporate and commercial law, International Public Offers (IPO’s), international transactions, financial law, project finance, M&A, antitrust, entrepreneurial law, foreign investment and governmental processes. Chacón has experienced exciting developments in his legal career recently. The Global Legal Experts have recommended him as an attorney for project finance in Mexico and the University of Hong King invited Chacón to write the Mexico Country Chapter in China Outbound Investment, which is to be published by CCH Hong Kong Ltd. in May of 2011.

Happy Lawyers Day!
In Mexico it is celebrated on July 12 every year. On that date in 1553 there was the first law lecture in Mexico and Latin America, in the university which now known as UNAM. The lecturer was Licenciado Bartolomé Frías y Albornoz. The celebratory date was set in 1960.
