Texas Tech University School of Law
LLM’s recently participated in a day-long team-building trip on
which they visited two iconic West Texas attractions and a major West
Texas law firm involved in international trade relations. The
students first visited nearby Palo Duro Canyon, which is the second
largest canyon in the U.S. and often referred to as “The Grand
Canyon of Texas.” The students then had an opportunity to visit
the Cadillac Ranch, one of the most famous pop culture monuments
located along the famous Route 66, often referred to as the “Main
Street of America.” While at the Cadillac Ranch, students
participated in the ongoing tradition of modifying the designs and
colors of the display with their own unique designs using a can or
two of spray paint. Finally, before going to dinner at The Big
Texan, another popular Route 66 destination, LL.M. students were
treated to a guided tour of The Underwood Law Firm, P.C., a 101 year
old law firm in Amarillo, TX. There they met attorneys and
shareholders, Tom Morris and Alan Rhodes, who provided several short
talks on their careers and the history of the law firm and its
international work. Among other things, Mr. Morris talked about his
U.S. Supreme Court argument in the landmark case of
Graham v.
Deere in 1966, which involved patent disputes.
This is just one
of the many ways that Texas Tech Law strives to make its LL.M.
students’ experiences memorable, educational, and distinct.

Texas Tech's School of Law has one of the top LLM programs around. They're by far one of the best schools to attend, or so I hear. I am really close to applying for next year, 2015, or 2016. Thanks Legal-Ease for sharing this information with us all.
