TOEFL Exam Information

LL.M. applicants from non-English speaking countries applying to law schools in the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Australia will normally have to show, as part of their LL.M. application, that they possess the necessary English language proficiency to follow an LL.M. program. While there are other language tests that are accepted, the TOEFL is the most popular among law schools in North America.

Texas Tech University School of Law New to Legal-Ease International LLM Line-up!

We are proud to include Texas Tech University School of Law as the newest member of the Legal-Ease International website family.

Texas Tech University is a major research university offering more than 100 master’s degree programs and over 50 doctoral programs.  More than 32,000 students attend the University including 1,250 from 100 countries. With an enrollment of about 700 students, the ABA-accredited and 18th-ranked “Best Value” law school is consistently recognized for its personal touch, recently ranking 3rd among U.S. law schools for its professor accessibility.

Tech’s LL.M. degree is a 24-credit program designed to offer advanced study in American law to non-U.S. lawyers or students who have earned their first/basic law degree from a non-U.S. law school. Students create a program of study that meets their particular needs, allowing them to focus on one of the many areas in which we provide expertise, such as energy law or U.S. business law.  Except for two required courses, LL.M. students attend their law classes with American J.D. students, providing a diverse educational experience and offering important networking opportunities.  No thesis is required for graduation; however, students may select courses requiring writing projects and/or an independent study that requires the production of a major paper.

Lubbock is in the heart of West Texas where Midwestern values are blended with rugged independence and Southwestern customs.  Lubbock has all the amenities of a major city, but the feel and values of a small town.
