Catholic University of America Names New Dean of Columbus School of Law

The Catholic University of America has named Daniel F. Attridge as dean of the Columbus School of Law

After an 18-month-long national search, The Catholic University of America has named Daniel F. Attridge of the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP as dean of the Columbus School of Law. The managing partner of Kirkland’s Washington, D.C., office since 1998 and a partner in the firm since 1985, Attridge is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who has litigated cases before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels throughout the United States.

Attridge’s litigation experience spans a wide range of practice areas, including intellectual property, antitrust and unfair competition, commercial and government contracts, insurance coverage and discrimination, and corporate and securities.

Attridge received his B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976 and his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1979. From 1979 to 1980, he clerked for Judge Oliver Gasch of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

The new dean has been recognized in litigation by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America, and SuperLawyers; featured in The National Law Journal’s “Defense Hot List”; and rated “AV” — the highest level of professional excellence — by Martindale-Hubbell.

Attridge began his tenure as dean of the law school February 1st.

Graduates of Florida Coastal School of Law’s LL.M. program are uniquely prepared to tackle the California Bar exam. The curriculum consists entirely of subjects tested on the California Bar exam, and for subjects such as Civil Procedure, Evidence, and Wills Trusts & Successions, California law is taught alongside federal and common law principles. Deadlines for Catholic University of America's LL.M. Program

The deadlines for the LL.M. applications at the Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law are fast-approaching. International applicants' materials must be received by March 16, 2013. U.S. applicants have until June 3, 2013, to submit their applications to the law school.

Applications are considered complete once the Office of Admissions has received a completed Columbus School of Law LL.M. application form (found here, two letters of recommendation, official law school transcripts, a TOEFL score for non-native English speakers, a personal statement of interest, a resume or C.V., and a $65 processing fee.

University of Texas LL.M. Program

We would like to invite you to apply to the LL.M. Program at the University of Texas School of Law. We seek candidates with strong legal education for our LL.M. degree program. Our priority deadline was February 1, so please submit your application as soon as possible.

The University of Texas School of Law offers a strong and varied curriculum, taught by dedicated professors. Most of the courses taken will be regular JD classes. However, we have designed several classes especially for foreign LL.M. students. We offer all of the U.S. Law courses that are required to cure the substantive deficiency to sit for the New York state bar examination.
